Craig Shapero, DPM
Board Certified PodiatristCraig Shapero, DPM, is a perceptive and friendly podiatrist providing the highest standard of podiatric care at Caring Podiatry with two locations in Monroe Township and Neptune, New Jersey. Dr. Shapero treats a range of common and complex podiatric conditions, including bunions, diabetic feet, ingrown toenails, toenail fungus, and plantar fasciitis. He provides wound care, custom-made orthotics, lifestyle changes and patient education, and many other valuable treatments and solutions. Dr. Shapero attended the Syosset High School in Syosset, New York, before graduating with a bachelor of arts in biochemistry from the Hofstra University Hempstead in New York, where he was also placed on the Dean’s list. Dr. Shapero obtained his doctor of podiatric medicine degree from the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Shapero finished post-graduate training from the PSR-24 Cooper Hospital/UMDNJ Medical Center and the PPMR Cooper Hospital/UMDNJ Medical Center in Camden, New Jersey. He was also the chief resident of podiatric surgery from 1998 to 2000. Dr. Shapero has extensive training in all areas of podiatric surgery with an emphasis on reconstructive surgery, trauma, and diabetic limb salvage. Active in his field, Dr. Shapero is a diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and a member of the American Society of Podiatric Dermatology and the New Jersey Podiatric Medical Society. He’s also physician-certified in wound care. Dr. Shapero is affiliated with the University Medical Center of Princeton in Princeton, New Jersey, and the Hackensack Meridian Health Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Monmouth County, New Jersey. Beyond podiatric care, Dr. Shapero enjoys the opportunity to help relieve pain and enhance general health and quality of life.
